Peach Cobbler

(Recipe credit to Donna Collins)

Here’s what you need:
  • 6-7 cups fresh peaches (you can use 1 large can of sliced peaches in heavy syrup, drained)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • cinnamon and sugar for topping (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While the oven is preheating, melt your stick of butter in the bottom of a 10x8 glass baking dish.

If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them into a large bowl. If using canned peaches, drain them and reserve the juice. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, sugar and milk until well combined and smooth.

Pour this mixture over the melted butter, but do NOT stir.

Add your peaches on top, but do NOT stir.

Bake in your preheated oven for 45-55 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is set when you give the pan a little shake.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar all over the top.

Let sit for 15-20 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream on the side. Enjoy!
