Easy Bread Pudding

Here’s what you need for a 9x9 pan full of goodness:

6-7 thick slices of stale bread (any kind you want!)
 2-3 Tbsp melted butter
2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 - 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar

**Special additions: Pecans, raisins, chocolate chips, diced apples or anything else you want!

Tear apart your bread into bite size pieces (or cut into cubes with a knife) and add to your lightly greased 9x9 pan. Pour the melted butter over the top and set aside.

Add your four eggs to a mixing bowl and whisk well. Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and milk and whisk together to combine.

If using a “Special addition” add that to the top of the bread now, BEFORE you add the custard.

Pour the custard over the bread, and try to make sure you get every piece coated. Using your fingers (or a spoon, but it’s not as fun!) press down lightly in the bread to be sure every piece is coated in custard. Wait at least 30 minutes and then bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes.

Icing glaze:

1-2 cups powdered sugar
Pinch of salt
1-2 Tbsp milk
1 - 1 1/2 tsp bourbon or vanilla

Whisk well to combine. It should be a drizzle/glaze consistency, not an icing. Drizzle on the warm bread pudding and enjoy!
