Snickerdoodle Cookies

Here's what you need:
- 1 cup Crisco shortening
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- sugar & cinnamon, mixed in a bowl for coating cookies before baking
Preheat your oven to 400F. Combine shortening, sugar and eggs in a mixing bowl, using a hand mixer. Mix in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Spoon small dough balls into the cinnamon/sugar mixture and coat well. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 8 - 10 minutes. Cookies will puff up, then fall with wrinkled tops. Makes around 5 dozen cookies. Enjoy!
