Hummus
Jul 13, 2024Here’s what you need:
- 3 cups chickpeas, drained and rinsed well
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- Juice from 1 lemon
- 4-5 ice cubes
- Olive Oil
- Topping of choice (roasted red peppers, roasted and minced garlic, paprika...etc.)
Add chickpeas and minced garlic to a food processor. Blend well until chickpeas are completely chopped. Mixture will be crumbly.
While the food processor is running, add your tahini, salt, lemon juice, and ice cubes and blend until smooth.
Pour out into your serving bowl and top with your topping of choice. Serve with pita chips, veggies or tortilla chips. Enjoy!
NOTE: If your hummus is too thick, you can add just a bit of hot water or a tablespoon of Greek yogurt to thin it out.
