Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup whipping cream OR half and half
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup Cocoa Powder (dark cacao powder is best)
- 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
Place first five ingredients in a medium saucepan over med/high heat. Cook stirring constantly until it reaches a rolling boil. Reduce heat to med/low and continue to cook, stirring constantly, for another 2-4 minutes. Remove from heat and add in vanilla. Stir to combine and serve warm over ice cream, brownies or whatever you like. Enjoy!
NOTE ~ this sauce can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 weeks and will thicken as it cools.
