Homemade Waffles

Here's what you need:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, melted (if using salted butter, decrease to 1 tsp.)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (or to taste)

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a small bowl whisk your eggs well and then add milk, melted butter and vanilla. Whisk to combine well. 

Pour your milk and egg mixture into your flour mixture and whisk or stir well to incorporate. 

Pour your batter into your preheated waffle iron and cook until the desired doneness and they are golden brown and crispy on the edges. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

NOTES**: You can cool these completely on a cooling rack and place in freezer bags to freeze for later. Then just warm them in the toaster when you're ready to enjoy them.
