Drop Biscuits
Jul 13, 2024What you will need:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 10 Tbsp. unsalted butter (frozen and grated or cut into cubes)
- 3/4 cup whole milk, plus 1 to 2 Tbsp, if needed
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Add the cold butter and work it in with a fork (or your fingers) until it resembles the texture of coarse meal with some pea-size pieces.
Using your fork, mix in the milk slowly until it comes together to form a shaggy dough. Add up to 2 Tbsp more milk, if needed, careful not to get the dough too wet.
Scoop dough into 8 biscuits and either bake them on a parchment lined baking sheet or in an iron skillet until golden brown, about 20-24 minutes.
Serve warm and enjoy!
