Creamed Corn

- 1 - 15 oz. can of corn (or home canned corn), partially drained
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste
- cornstarch/water slurry
Add your corn, butter, cream and sugar to your saucepan. Salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
Make a slurry with cornstarch and water (about 2 Tbsp. cornstarch to 1/3 cup COLD water). Mix well to dissolve the cornstarch. Add by the teaspoonful to your corn until it's the creaminess you're looking for. It will thicken more as it simmers, so don't add too much of the slurry until you see how it thickens up. This is perfect with any meal. Enjoy!
