Chocolate Walnut Fudge

candy Jul 13, 2024
Here’s what you need:
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • Addition of your choice (see notes)
Prepare an 8x8 pan by lining with aluminum foil and lightly buttering the bottom and up the sides. Set aside.

Prepare the fudge by placing a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water. You don't want the water to touch the bottom of the bowl. Add your butter and after its completely melted, add vanilla and condensed milk. Stir until it's completely combined and smooth.

Add your chocolate chips and stir until they are completely melted. The fudge will start to lose its shine and become very smooth.

Fold in addition of your choice. (If using peanut butter, see notes below)

Pour fudge into your prepared pan and spread to all four corners. Let it sit in a cool place, or in the fridge, until set. Remove from pan and remove foil. Cut into desired size pieces and ENJOY!

**NOTES:

- If using peanut butter as an addition, I suggest making a peanut butter icing and then, after pouring the fudge in your pan, drop the peanut butter icing by the spoonful over the top of the fudge and use a butter knife to swirl/marble it in. Leave to set as mentioned above.

- You can add any addition you like such as coconut, walnuts, pecans, crushed peppermint candies, peanuts or even sprinkle with sea salt.

- You can sub out the condensed milk with a sweetened coconut condensed milk and it's delicious!

- You can use bittersweet chocolate (60% cacao) in place of the semi-sweet and it will have an even richer chocolate flavor.
