Abuela Gloria's Brownies
Feb 08, 2025Here's what you need:
- scant 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- very full 2/3 cup 100% cocoa powder (I love the Ghirardelli)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat your oven to 350F. Lightly spray a 9x13 or an individual brownie pan like this one and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour, cocoa and salt. Mix to combine and then add the sugar. Mix to incorporate the sugar with the flour mixture. Add the melted butter and mix well. Add the beaten eggs and mix. Now add the vanilla and mix one more time! Fold in your chocolate chips.
Pour into your prepared pan and bake in your pre heated oven for approximately 25 minutes. Do NOT overbake or they will be dry. You want to have a few moist crumbs on the tester when you check them.
Allow to cool a bit before cutting. Enjoy with ice-cream on the side!
**NOTE: You can also add nuts, if you like, and even an icing to make them even more amazing!
