Baked Apple Tart

Here’s what you need:

For pastry and apple filling:
1  sheet puff pastry
2 large Granny Smith apples sliced or diced (about 3 cups)
3 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon (I used 1 tsp)
1 Tbsp all purpose flour
Lay your puff pastry flat on a parchment lined baking sheet. Using a sharp knife, score a line 1/4 inch in from the edge on all four sides, being careful not to cut all the way through.
Mix the apples, cinnamon, sugar and flour together in a bowl and pour them out on the pastry. Try to keep it inside your scored area. Set aside.

For the crumble top:
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional, but delicious!)
1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon (I used 1/2 tsp)
1/4 cup (half a stick) of very cold butter that’s been cut into small pieces.

Mix all of the ingredients except the butter, in a medium bowl. Next add in your cold butter. Using a pastry cutter, fork or your fingers (your fingers work best!) mix the hotter ingredients to the dry ingredients until it’s completely incorporated and resembles a crumble.

Pour this over top of the apples and bake in a pre heated 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until t the edges are a nice golden brown.

Serve warm with a drizzle of caramel and vanilla ice cream on the side. Enjoy!

This heats up nicely in the airfryer!
